Plainfield Township is a township in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, United States. Plainfield Township is located in the Lehigh Valley region of the state. It is part of Pennsylvania's Slate Belt (). The population of Plainfield Township was 6,138 at the 2010 census. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which is land and , or 0.16%, is water. It is in the Delaware watershed and drained by Bushkill Creek and Martins Creek. Its natural northern boundary is Blue Mountain. Its villages include Belfast, Delabole, Edelman, Kesslersville, Miller, West Bangor, and West Pen Argyl. Its numbered routes are the 33 Expressway, 191, and 512.
